Borders Community Action joined over 200 professionals from more than 50 organisations at Lilliardsedge Holiday Park on Wednesday 30th of September for the second Know Your Network event, helping to strengthen connections between employers, employability services and third sector organisations supporting people across the Scottish Borders.
Organised by the Borders Career Collaborative (BCC), the event built on the success of its inaugural gathering in 2025, with a focus on collaboration, sharing frontline experience and ensuring organisations understand the breadth of employability support and opportunities available across the region.
Borders Community Action joined other BCC partners including:
Fiona Benton, Luca Pornaro and Amelia Brooke facilitated two BCA table hop sessions and two thematic discussions focused on Skills and Transitions, exploring what is working, where challenges remain and where greater collaboration could make a difference.
Amelia said:
“I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and willingness to collaborate, ask questions and contribute across every stage of the event”.
Feedback gathered throughout Know Your Network will now help inform the development of the next Borders Local Employability Partnership Plan.
