Bright Arts CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Selkirk, Scotland. They use creativity as a positive activity, to improve people’s mental and physical health, confidence and improve social inclusion.
They aim to improve quality of life and social inclusion through positive, creative activity together. Bright Arts CIC plans to expand its reach, bringing the benefits of creative, positive activity to more communities across the Scottish Borders.
Established in September 2024, Bright Arts CIC has quickly become a good resource in the Scottish Borders community. Their first funded project has been very popular, delivering free and inclusive crafting classes in sheltered housing venues and public halls in Galashiels and Selkirk. These sessions are designed to engage participants in creative activities that bring a sense of belonging and personal achievement. This first project has seen positive outcomes, receiving great feedback and support from the partner organisations, and showing the community’s recognition of its value.
Whilst their current projects support senior citizens, Bright Arts CIC are planning to broaden their reach to include other groups and a wider community.
