Description

Let’s Eat Better CIC is a Community Interest Company based in the Scottish Borders, established in September 2025 to improve health and wellbeing through practical food education.

The organisation works with children, young people, families and vulnerable adults, delivering hands-on cooking workshops, courses, demonstrations and nutrition education. Its sessions build cooking skills and confidence while showing participants how to prepare healthy, affordable and enjoyable meals, make the most of seasonal and local ingredients, and reduce food waste.

Let’s Eat Better also delivers Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) accredited courses in areas including food hygiene, food and health, allergy awareness and elementary cooking skills, supporting community organisations and individuals to develop their knowledge and skills.

In addition, the organisation provides on-site catering services for community groups and event, combining nutritious, appealing food with its commitment to healthy and sustainable eating.

Although a relatively new organisation, Let’s Eat Better is growing through strong partnerships with local community groups, food larders, health services, schools, housing associations and third-sector organisations across the rural Scottish Borders. Its community-led approach enables it to respond to local needs and reach people who can benefit most from practical food education.
