Charities across Scotland are being invited to apply for funding through the Mackie’s Charity Grant, a £40,000 programme designed to support organisations making a positive difference in their communities.

The initiative will provide funding to 13 charities through two separate award streams:

  • Ten charities will each receive a £1,000 donation, selected by Mackie’s employees.
  • Three charities will each receive a £10,000 grant through the application process.

Supporting impactful community work

Mackie’s is encouraging charities to share information about the impact of their work and explain how additional funding could help them achieve even more.

The programme is open to charities supporting a wide range of causes, from helping young people and strengthening communities to protecting the environment and delivering vital services for people facing challenges.

Funding themes

Applications are particularly welcomed from charities whose work aligns with one or more of the following themes:

  • Supporting children and young people
  • Supporting families and communities
  • Promoting health and wellbeing
  • Supporting rural communities
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Skills, training and employment opportunities
  • Supporting disadvantaged or vulnerable people
  • Arts, culture and heritage
  • Sport, recreation and active lifestyles
  • Animal welfare or countryside conservation
  • Innovation and future thinking

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from charities operating locally, regionally or nationally.

How to apply

Eligible charities can submit an application through the Mackie’s Charity Grant application form.

Organisations interested in securing funding are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and provide clear details about the impact of their work and how the grant would support their future plans.
