In This Together – Community Film Screening on Rural Mental Health

The Gamekeepers Welfare Trust brings its powerful new documentary In This Together to Kelso as part of a national community tour.

The film explores suicide awareness and mental health challenges in rural communities through the voices of families who have lost loved ones. Their testimonies highlight the isolation and pressures often faced by those living and working in rural areas and the lasting impact suicide can have on families and communities.

Agricultural workers, including gamekeepers, are recognised as a high-risk occupational group, and the documentary aims to break the silence surrounding mental health, encourage open conversation and remind people that support is available. The film also highlights the free and confidential services offered by the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust for individuals and families in need.

The screening is supported locally by the River Tweed Commission and the Tweed Foundation and is open to anyone across the Scottish Borders who wishes to attend.
