This free online webinar provides a detailed introduction to Community Asset Transfer, the legislative process that enables community ownership and management of publicly owned land and buildings.

Led by the Scottish Government-funded Community Ownership Support Service (COSS), the session will explore the rights available to communities under the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. Participants will learn how community groups can become Eligible Transfer Bodies and understand the legal requirements for making an Asset Transfer Request to public sector organisations.

The event includes a presentation and an opportunity to ask questions. It is designed for community organisations and community members based in Scotland who are interested in community ownership and management of public assets.
