The Scottish Human Rights Commission is hosting a free online community engagement workshop focused on economic, social and cultural (ESC) rights in the South of Scotland.

Participants will hear key findings and recommendations from the Commission’s latest research examining people’s experiences of ESC rights across the region. The workshop will explore what these rights mean in practice and how communities, organisations and advocates can use human rights evidence and recommendations to support their work and influence positive change.

The session will include opportunities for discussion, learning and networking with others interested in advancing human rights in the South of Scotland.

The event is open to community groups and organisations, human rights defenders and advocates, people who participated in the research, public bodies, service providers and anyone with an interest in economic, social and cultural rights.

Accessibility measures include regular breaks and accessible digital materials where possible. BSL interpreters and electronic notetaking can be arranged for participants who require them.
