As part of the South of Scotland Dark Sky Festival, Eat, Sleep, Ride is hosting a fireside storytelling evening beneath the dark skies of Berwickshire.
Set at the charity’s off-grid, solar-powered farm near the Scottish border, the event features a professional Scottish storyteller sharing traditional tales inspired by Borders folklore, night-sky myths, coastal legends and stories rooted in the local landscape.
Guests will be welcomed with tea or soup in the yurt before gathering around the fire pit for an outdoor storytelling session lasting approximately 60-90 minutes. Afterwards, there will be time for quiet reflection and stargazing.
The event is intentionally small, with a maximum of 20 participants, creating a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. Blankets and hot chocolate will be available, and there is an accessible toilet and indoor warming space on site.
Eat, Sleep, Ride is a Scottish charity that operates an equine sanctuary, riding school and community space at Quarry Farm. Proceeds from the event support its work with young people, rescue horses and community programmes.
